Pictures of Joy's puppies

OK, I have not been able to be on the blogs much, and may not be able to for a little while more because we have been so busy. Right now, we have two litters of puppies, plus Goldie who will probably have her's tonight. Hopefully! If not, well.....

This one is the only girl of four pups:

And these are the three boys:

Thanks again to everyone who prayed because it was only because of God that everything turned out alright.

Puppies are here!

Thank you everyone for praying.

Around 1:30, Joy had a sac starting to come out, and so for the next three hours, we sat and waited for labor to progress, and nothing happened. We were getting bored (thanks, Tyler for bringing books and a movie!!!) and finally, started to get worried.

Around 4:30, my mom and I decided we had waited long enough with no action, so we ran her to the emergency clinic. The vet X-rayed her and found that one puppy was blocking the birth canal. Think of it like a "Y." The two upper parts are the two uterine horns and they meet at the junction which goes into the birth canal. The puppy was stretched between the two horns sideways completely blocking the birth canal. We had two choices:
1. Everyone dies. Literally, mom and puppies all die.
2. Do a C-section (reaaallly expensive)

As you can guess, we decided to do the C-section. Everyone is healthy and good. We have four puppies - three boys and one girl (could have been the other way around since girls are better).

It was very emotional, stressful, and now we are on 24 hr watch...yes, through the night. So, I am exhausted....physically and emotionally.

Again, thanks for praying. I'll post pictures later.

Prayer Request

My little dog, Joy, is due to have puppies any time. She is only 4.5 lbs, and so her births usually have complications that turn into me having to pull the puppies out. Last night, she had some abnormal discharge, so we took her to the vet this morning. That is all cleared up, but her mucous plug has come which means puppies within 24 hrs.

When she does have puppies, I will have to help her. Lately, my stomach has really been rebelling towards bad smells, and believe me, having puppies STINKS! It smells really, really bad.

So anyways, please pray for a safe delivery, and that I would not be affected by the smell and be able to help her adequately. Thank you!!!!
