Morning driving us crazy....

Our last mare to foal, Morning, is driving us crazy!! The average gestation for a mini is 336 days, but mares will tend to follow their gestation from previous years. Last year for Morning was 341 days which would have made her due on February 12. Today is 353 days for her! This means that we cannot go anywhere or do anything without either Mom or I staying home to keep an eye on her. So, I am consoling myself by sitting here watching other mares foal out on http://www.marestare.com/. It is really interesting watching how other people handle their mare's births...and reading all the comments on the MessageBoard. Please keep praying for Morning...we are getting nervous! She could wait till a year which would be March 8. This is a really good friend of our's grandson's first birthday, so she says Morning is waiting for Cody's birthday..... Here she is...

The only thing scarier than Muslims....

...is what drove into our driveway earlier today!!!!! Watch the movie below to find out what happened...

Muslims on the Move...

This is a very interesting article that my grandparents sent out today...can you tell that my grandparents are very politically involved?!?!?

I am really para phrasing here, you can comment and tell me if you want the whole article.

Muslims on the Move
Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat

Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is a complete, total, 100% system of life. When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well.

As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2& in any given country, they will for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. (United States -- Muslim 0.6%)

At 2% to 5% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. (Germany -- Muslim 3.7%)

From 5% on, they excercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for halal (clean by Islamic standards) food to secure food prep jobs for Muslims. They will threaten supermarket chains if they do not comply to featuring halal on their shelves. (France -- Muslim 8%)

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

At 10% of the population, they increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. Any non-Muslim act offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats. (Israel -- Muslim 16%)

After 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and burning of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues. (Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%)

At 40%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels. (Sudan -- Muslim 70%)

After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide as these nations drive out the infidels and move toward 100% Muslim. (Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%)

100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of Peace. Here there's supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word. (Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%)

But, peace is never acheived, as in these 100% states, the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims for a variety of reasons.

In some countries with well under 100% Muslim populations (France), the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, and the children attend madrasses. They only learn the Koran. To even assosciate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death.

Today's 1.5 billion Muslims are 22% of the world's population, but their birth rates dward the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world's population by the end of this century.

Scarey??? Now is when I have to just remember that "...God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)

Sadie's Birthday

Yesterday was Sadie K's 11th birthday! We had a lot of fun at church singing "Happy Birthday," eating cake, and taking pictures...

Then we came home, and all went riding horses to the General Store. But, Kailey's horses freaked out, so we took too long and the Store was closed. We still had fun, and drank our own soda. Later, we went over to the K's house and had enchiladas and watched Sadie open presents!

Parada del Sol pictures!

Well, overall, the prep work at the parade was a blast, but the parade itself was awful! Warm, sunny Arizona turned into cold, rainy Arizona, and the Parada del Sol turned into the Parada del Agua!....My friends Leigh Anne and Kailey spent Friday night here, and the three of us stayed up WAY TOO LATE talking and having fun. But, the alarms going off at 5:30 AM weren't quite so fun. By 6:30 or so, we were all on our way out to east Scottsdale. We had a lot of fun setting up the pens, getting the horses out, and decorating the carts...and each other! The carts had pink hula skirts, pink tulle, pink umbrellas, and pink garland, the horses had pink leg wraps, brow bands, and roses, and us girls (and guys!) had pink shirts, hat bands, and Kailey and I braided pink ribbin into our braids. The whole time we decorated, it was sunny and beautiful out, but when we finished hooking up and moving into lineup, it started pouring. And it poured, and poured, and poured! There was basically no one out to watch the parade, and all the horses, harnesses, decor, and people, were soaked. And not just soaked, but COLD! When we got back to the trailer, we had to undo all the decorations, and everyone's fingers and legs were so stiff and numb that moving them hurt. Finally, everything was packed up and the carts got loaded onto trucks and trailers...and the rain stopped! No one had brought any kind of jacket but rain jackets because we didn't count on the temperature being so amazingly freezing! It was funny, because right before we left, us kids (Me, Anna, Jessie, Kailey, Leigh Anne, David, and Noah) had to go to the bathroom, and the closest store was a CVS across the street. When we got inside, us girls were all standing under the hand dryer in the bathroom thawing out. That warm air blowing on us was about the best feeling in the world just then!

There was a lot of stress because the horses were slipping on the wet asphalt and could easily have fallen. My mom's horse, Warrior, reared up and fell underneath the cart before the parade, and that really upset him. He was a nut the rest of the day. My team was leaning out like they sometimes do, and they were slipping all over the place. I was terrified that they were going to fall underneath each other, but nothing happened. (Thank you, Anna, for all your help!!!!!! Love you, girl!) It was pretty high stress....

Here are some pictures!

This is before everything started...notice the SUN IS OUT!

Dude was awesome!

Jessie & Kailey decorating

We took some good "cowgirl" pictures

And some SILLY pictures

And here's a video that my mom made...supposedly the music is some old rock song and the words say "are you tough enough?" Since the theme of the parade was "Tough Enough to wear Pink," she picked that music...I don't really like it, but...

What I've done this week...

We got a new stack of Bermuda hay in yesterday morning, so last night, "the boys," Tyler and David, came over and helped us stack it all in the barn. The past couple times we have stacked hay, we time ourselves and keep trying to break our record. A couple weekends ago when we stacked Alfalfa, we moved it in 28 minutes. Last night, we had it all stacked in 20 min, 33 seconds!!! World record.... :)

After we stacked it, we came up to the house and Anna had made meatballs, pasta, salad, and biscuits! We ate out on the porch and had a lot of fun.

Today, we got pink leg wraps, browband covers, and more as decorations for the Parada del Sol parade this weekend! We have pink roses for plumes in the bridles, and we are all wearing pink shirts and hats with a pink sash. Here is Jessie with our mare Dream all dressed up this afternoon.

Then, later today, my friend Leigh Anne came over for a piano lesson which I was a little nervous about because I didn't know what it would be like teaching a good friend. It actually went really well, and I am not nearly so nervous about teaching her now. We hung out at the barn with the baby horses and then watched the trailers for Legacy's new movie, Friday at Noon. Voddie Baucham talking about Sarah Palin

So I got curious to find out what other Christians were thinking about Sarah Palin running for president. I googled "Sarah Palin Titus 2 woman" and found an awesome video with Voddie Baucham telling why he believes it is wrong for her to be in that position of authority. In this video, Voddie is talking on CNN, and there is also an "Evangelical Speaker" from Alaska who is really wrong on what she is saying. She uses Eph. 5 and really twists the meaning...and Voddie does not back down at all! He is really good! I really, really hope that it doesn't get down to Palin vs. Obama.

Ladies in Waiting

OK...this is for my friend Perry, who asked everyone on the LIW writing team (including me!) to write for the upcoming issue. The only problem is, it is on dealing with your brothers, and I have no biological brothers! So, Perry, I just wanted to tell you that for me, dealing with brothers is really easy, especially since mine live at the K's and R's houses! (You know who I'm talking about!!!)

This weekend, we have the Parada Del Sol parade that we are going in! I am so excited because this is the biggest horse parade in either the mid-west or the country...don't remember which! The theme is "tough enough to wear pink," so we are all wearing pink, decorating pink, and, in essence, going pink! I will post pictures afterwards!

Here is our filly, I Am a Joyful Irish Lady

And here is our colt...to be named! Maybe I Am a Crystal Blue Buckeroo

What is legalism? And should Sarah Palin run for President?

So yesterday, my grandparents sent us a link to a very interesting interview done between Chris Wallace and Sarah Palin. I believe Sarah Palin is right on in her political and ethical views, excpect for one point. She said that (and I am para-phrasing here) depending on where her life wasin 2012, she would maybe consider running for President of the United States. That is great, excpect for one thing. She would be a woman in a very high position of authority over men, and I don't know if that qualifies as a "helper at home." Any thoughts??? Here is a link to the interview http://citizenpalin4president.blogspot.com/2010/0 2/video-sarah-palin-with-chris-wallace-on.html

That discussion led us to start thinking of the definition of "legalism." We ended up looking it up in Webster's dictionary, and lo and behold, it wasn't in there! So...where do you go next? Google! The first definition that popped up was: "strict conformity to the letter of the law rather than its spirit." Anyone else have any other definitions?

We have two new baby horses and one more on the way! Please pray for Morning's baby that the delivery would be safe and that mare and foal would be protected. I will post pictures later....

My first post!

Well I finally have a blog! I don't know how much I'll be able to post, but hopefully I can put some stuff on here in my spare time....
